I have had iguanas for the past 6 years and all have been a very bright green. The vet said this is because of all the greens in their diet. I recently inherited a new ig, she is at least 4 years old, approximatley 18" snout to vent and she is very orange, her diet before I got her was mainly commercial ig food. She, healthwise, is not in very good condition, (dehydrated, severe burns on her belly (they had 3 hot rocks in a 30gal aquariam as the only source of heat...ouch!!!) She was partially free roaming, I believe that is the only reason she is still living, I am hopeful she will come around. My question is: is orange a normal ig color or will she turn green like the others if she gets the greens in her diet? Thanks for any info you can give me.
