i don't know *why* cuttlebone would be any better ~ or any *worse* for that matter! but i don't know for sure what exactly cuttlebone is made up of as far as chemical content, etc ... have you tried doing an internet search on cuttlebone to see???

*if* an ig is healthy *AND* is getting a good diet *AND* real sunshine *AND* good husbandry, then you shouldn't need to supplement calcium at all ...
