Ages ago I went thru this and as I recall the answer was that cuttlebone might be harmful.......because it comes from a fish and the oceans are getting more polluted and, therefore, you may introduce a bad substance by using the cuttlebone. Now where all my research on this went I don't know because I changed computers and can't remember where I stowed some of the stuff. Hmmm, may be I can find it in archived stuff.
