Hi Everyone!
I've done a bit more research on lighting. From what I understand, the Active UVHeat (Mercury Vapor?) Lamps are best. This is what it says on the Big Apple Herpetological page, which is Canadian isn't it? I'm from Nova Scotia, so I'm trying to find only Canadian prices.
The 275 watt flood: Recommended for larger Iguana/ Monitor cages, tortoise pens, breeder troughs, high temperature & intensity needs or room sized setups. These bulbs have quite a bit of intensity and heat so we recommend that you use them only with enclosures that are at least 4 feet high.
Is that the kind I want? Is one bulb sufficient? My cage will be at least 6 ft tall. How bright are these? My Dad thinks they would be really bright, are they? Thanks again :) Wendy
