Thanks to everyone for all the info/websites you gave me to learn more about iguanas.
Is there anyway to tell how old an iguana is? I know Joey is 'mature' since he has the male characteristics...but he is only 7-8" long (maybe 2 feet including his tail).
Do iguanas change colour as they get older?
Also, I am patiently trying to socialize Joey but he still tail whips when I go to pick him up, once holding him he is much better and enjoys being rubbed on his head; I noticed that when he whips his tail he 'snorts' liquid out of his nostrils. I know that that is how they get rid of salt, but is that also an aggression sign?
