And we will probably never hear of him again.

: Sorry folks, if an e-mail addy was available I would've taken this privately.

: Well, Hasim, what I DO know about you is that, regardless of your self-proclaimed wealth of experience with reptiles, you weren't sure if Betadine was an appropriate disinfectant. That told me that you may not quite know how to properly dress a wound nevermind inflict several and then make sure that they don't become infected. What do you plan to use as an antibiotic should any complications arise from your "surgical procedure" ?You mentioned a veterinarian who most definitely would've been able to tell you over the phone if Betadine was the correct thing to use for the suturing procedure. Whether you bothered to consult with him/her I'll admit I don't know but since you came to an internet message board asking the question and looking for advice from complete and total strangers that may or may not be correct I assumed that you hadn't. If I was incorrect in that assumption I apologize. And if "your brother and an iguana aren't that different" then maybe your choice of the term "hick" was justified. Was the suturing procedure done in the barn on clean hay or the kitchen table after dinner? You wanted condescending? That's what it looks like when I get condescending. Let there be no more speculation about it.

: What you did, in my opinion, was a stupid move. Up until now I didn't say anything about you personally and the above was strictly for illustrative purposes. Just that, in my opinion, you excercised extremely poor judgement in your choice. It doesn't necessarily take a lot of knowledge or effort on a human's part to have success breeding animals, which is an entirely different topic that I'm not going to bother with. Having kept reptiles for the last ten years, how many veterinary courses have you taken during that time? How many surgical procedures have you assisted on with a qualified herp vet?

: "People with a little knowledge..." your words, not mine. An old professor once told me, "There's nothing more dangerous than a first year medical student." Don't believe I said anything to attack you personally. Just that the choice that you made was a poor one. And if I ever find myself in the Yukon I'll be sure to look you up. We can compare keyboards. Besides, I want to see this brother of yours for myself. I'll leave my "reputation" in the hotel...
