Here here. I totally agree with that statement and couldn't have said it better myself.: I was critical of several of the responses here, not just Mr.D's. But Mr.D appears to have a great deal of useful experience. He COULD have shared that with all of us. Sharing experiences is what this website is all about, I think. Even if one's experiences and observations are counter to "common knowledge," anyone should feel free to come here and share that information with everyone else. That way, we all learn more. In this particular case, one person was being criticized and unfairly accused of either "practicing medicine without a license," which is incorrect, or of "animal cruelty," which is also incorrect. If he habitually lacerated his animal and practiced sewing it up for the fun of it, that would have been a different story. That was NOT the case. No one should EVER be discouraged or made afraid to speak here because they might be attacked for doing so. Being absolutely and totally honest, can you truthfully say that some of the responses here were anything less than blatent, unjustified attacks? Even if this guy really had screwed up and actually done something stupid (which was not the case), not one of the negative, self-edifying, threatening jabs were justified here in THIS forum. That is NOT our purpose. It is counter productive. It hurts all of us, and it deprives ME of knowledge. And I resent that.
