My goodness, you are condescending aren't you. Just for the record then, heres my setup. The cage is 8 feet long, 6 feet high and 5 feet wide. It's inside is painted with polyurethane paint. It is heated by a space heater hooked up to a thermostat. The basking light is 100 watts and set up over his favorite perch. Daytime temperatures inside the cage range from 85° F to 88° F and the basking area is at 90° F to 95° F.

Nighttime temperatures to 75° F. The cage is lit with 6 Zoo-Med 5.0 UVB flourescent lights. Humidity is kept at around 60% by means of an ultrasonic humidifier that is hooked to the cage by plastic pipes and runs on a timer. I feed green beans, squash, diced fruit, alfalfa pellets, dandelion greens etc. with a vitamen supplement added twice a week. Fresh water is available in a large tupperware pan and is changed daily. This was not an impulse buy on a trip to vancouver. It had been thought out well in advance. The only drawback to where we live is no access to an exotic animal vet. As I said, ours does mostly livestock. Just because I live in the bush doesn't mean I'm a hick. And with the miracles of modern technology there is a wealth of information to be had on the net. I had a specific situation to deal with and needed to know if the disinfectant on hand would do the job or not. That is all I asked. I didn't come here to be treated like an 11 year old or have veiled threats about criminal charges made. I think you've got some attitude adjustments that need to be made. And if YOU need any help with your husbandry practices let me know, I'd be happy to help you.
