In Reply to: new to Iguanas, would like some advice please posted by Helen on April 28, 2002 at 22:42:34:

First,,the littlest one is probably being dominated by the larger,,,they may never be able to be kept together,so plan on two enclosures.
Second, the MK salad is great,,but you can leave out the alfafa,,we never feed it to ours,,they won't touch it.
You'll need two of everything for them to possibly co exist. Two basking spots, two feeding spots, etc.
Get the cage out of the window,,,you could be cooking your new igs.Outside sunshine is the best.We also live in central Fla on the west coast.
A fecal needs to be done asap to ck for parasites.
With the igs being in a new place,,it will take them time to resettle, igs "hate"change.Even moving a fake plant can upset them and cause them to stop eating for a week.Be patient with them and keep doing what you're doing.Reserch is the best thing.
Good luck, you're a wonderful person to help these negelected babies.
