With the food, i'd definatly take out the alfalfa.

Personally I just make a salad based on the Ca:Pho ratios of food (collards are great for calcium, think it's almost 8:1 ratio) and also use the veggies that are available to me (normally fresh green beans, squash, and sweet potatoes..fruit is normally along the lines of cantaloupe and strawberries. Also added sweet bell pepper the other day. Basically - if you make the salad and want them ot eat just the salad, put that in there before you put anything else in. That way they'll learn to eat that (my iguana gobbled up the fresh salad compared to the Rep-cal iguana food ).

Iguanas generally hate change (earlier mentioned) and sometimes will not eat or anything for awhile. Like i've been telling everyone with a stressed iguana, it can take up to a month for them to get back in the swing of things, mine's still not acting totally like he should (he's eating WAY better tho) and it's been a montha nd a half with his splint (he broke his leg). The one that hides all the time might be more stressed out then the other iguana.

Anyways - just one last tip to perhaps help you. I find that leather gloves work great when trying to tame iguanas. They could be calm due to malnourishment and will probably become a lot more lively once they get on the diet you're trying to feed them. But if they stay tame, that's definatly a plus

I know my iguana came to me looking great (at about 1 years old). He did have a calcium defiency tho, and the vet recommended the rep-cal calcium supliment to be put on his food. I wouldn't use one personally if my vet didn't reccomend it and if he didn't have the defiency. So even tho everything may look healthy, they could still have a deficiency.

P.S. You could also try some yellow squash as a treat (mine loved it =P)

G'luck on your iguana, and i'm happy to see that someone as caring as you got to rescue them =)
