Cleaning Astroturf

I was wondering how to go about cleaning the astroturf cage liner I have. Just take it outside, wash with hose, and rotate with another one each week? Do I need to worry about disinfecting them? Any assistance/experiences is appreciated.

PS - I know to make sure there aren't any loose threads and to keep an eye on my ig's toes, etc. Am I OK with this?
