This is what I did when Vega$ used to live in a tank.

I had 12 pieces to rotate with :) 4 pieces in 1 tank at a time. Every weekend, I'd take the soiled pieces and soak in hot water with antibacterial dish soap. Then I'd hose (w/ the spray gun) it down really well to remove any clinging residue. I'd let the turfs drip dry for a bit, then I generously sprayed the pieces with a diluted mixture of Nolvasan. Let it sit for a while ( I think I let it sit for 20 mins). Then I'd rinse the turf down well again. Then I'd let it air dry.

Um, laundry for igs. :)
