personally, I don't like astroturf. Its a devil to clean, and it traps many pathogens and bacteria.
If you need to clean it you can use an antibacterial soap and a good and durable brush (no, not the kind for paint or hair).
You could also wrinse it down with a diluted bleach solution. let it air dry and make sure that there are no fumes or traces of the solution left before putting it back into the cage.
A quicker fix would be to replace the astroturf with linoleum. It is wonderful with cleaning, and more sanitary. Your iguana might not like it at first if it doesn't have anything else to climb on at first, but it shouldn't be a problem. I have linoleum on the floor and shelves of Tarzan'a cage. I couldn't have a complaint.
Linoleum is great with spills and bowel messies!
