I have two iguanas... one male (4ft) and one female (3ft)
I took my male iguana out of the cage and left the female in the cage for a moment. Strangely my male iguana did a weird walk that I had never seen him do before. He would walk with his tail whipping behind him for a short distance... then he would stop and bob his head. He repeated this little dance as he got closer and closer to the cage. When he finally got to the glass aquarium... he just licked the glass and started climbing as if trying to get back in. I wasn’t afraid of him and his new body language! I picked him up and petted him for a little while. He relaxed and closed his eyes in what seemed like enjoyment.

He is between (1 1/2 - 2yrs old). I figure he is a little young to be initiating sex... :oP
I looked up this behavior in Melissa Kaplan's "Iguanas for Dummies" book, but found no accurate description or analysis of such body language. He loves my attention... and as soon as he is out of the cage he starts bobbing his head at my other iguana as if to say "She’s mine! You can't have her." So, I figure he may be acting territorial and/or stating his dominance. But this is only an assumption!

If you have had any similar encounters with your iguanas or have any suggestions or thoughts on the matter... PLEASE reply or e-mail me. Thank you! Your input is appreciated :o)
