I'd have to be a complete moron to think they dont need it at all, I just stand by my point on uvb bulbs. As for for the longevity yes iguanas do regularly live to be 15 years old however, once damage is done to the system it is basicly impossible to get them to live the full life. This would be like saying the 40 year old man who kills his liver to next to nothing with alcohol, will still live to be 90 (or 120 for that matter since many biologist say thats when we should live to) just as soon as he lays off the bottle.
