help with ig diet

Ok up till recently I've been feeding my ig a comercially produced diet, but I decided to switch because I'd feel more comfortable knowing what exactly he's getting (even thiough i don't even know that about most of what I eat lol) so I've been trying melissa kaplans diet, but he doesn't like it much, and won't eat the alfalfa at all (he'll pick even the tiniest piece of green bean out of it, while leaving the alfalfa behind, don't know how he does it) All he will eat is his greens, or if he gets really hungry a little nibble of the other. He's not sick becuase he'll eat his greens like a pig, and I have a fruit mixture that I kmade to give to him as a treat every once in a while that he will dive right in to. Do any of you have some suggestions on how to get him to eat it, or another diet i could try?
