Jen Swofford's diet list ... much the same as MK's minus the alfalfa ... most igs don't like the alfalfa anyway and they can get any needed protein from healthier sources than dried pellets ... (IMHO)
the major part of your igs diet should be leafy greens ~ collards, dandelion, mustard, endive, escarole ... (Jen's got a great list/table) ...
very little fruit ~ too much is gonna give him a tummy ache + "the runs" ...
approved vegies should be grated or sliced VERY thin ... (igs have teeth but they do not chew their food ~ much the same as my 3yo g-girl) ...
oh! and green beans are more "green" than "bean" ... they're NOT high in protein ...
and if your ig is an adult, they do NOT need extra protein ~ it's hard on the kidneys ...
+ just to warn you ~ there's some controversy involved with ig diets ... read alot, ask even more questions ... yes, it is very confusing at 1st ... (ok, after 4 yrs, it's STILL confusing ... *grin*)
Bon. + iZ
