Hi everyone,
Last night I gave my iguana a bath let him roam around for a little while. Then while he was on the couch looking out the window I started clipping his nails. He wasen't to bad for the back feet but when I went to the front he got pissed! Whipping his tail, and he tried to bite me. Well I figured lets not upset him...but I guess I did. I put a little bit of neosporin on my finger to put onto his noes {nose rubbing}and he bit my thumb so bad, it bleed like a stuffed pig. I heard a crack, which may have been my nail, but I can't see any damage right now. I hope it wasen't my bone! Well anyhow,..there are three open wounds, obviously I have cleaned it, but it is really really swollen. Has anyone ever needed antibiotics for a iggy bite? If so are there any rules on anitbiotics like there is with dog and cat bites? Certain antibiotics you cant use or that aren't affective?
Thanks for any help
Best Regards
Kim
