Kim: Make sure your finger is cleaned out. Do you have peroxide? I usually use that and then antibiotic ointment with a bandaid (some bandaids already have it on). Keep an eye on it. So far, I haven't had a problem (Max bit me 3-4 times in the last year) or with the scratches (of which I have many). You can get the antibiotic cream at the dollar store -- no need to get a real expensive one. I also use the antibiotic cream on Max's nose and head where he spit it from running into windows and mirrors.

In fact, he bit me last night. He was sitting on my daughter's stuffed moose and I took him off to put him to bed. He climed on my neck and when I reached back to get him, he bit. Another day I tried to get him off the moose and he opened his mouth at me. Something about him and that moose, I guess.

Anyway, just keep an eye on the bite and if it starts getting really red and swollen, then I'd have a doctor have a look at it.
