Whipping and bitting problem!

I got this iguana last week from my friend with a big cage. Last week the iguana was just getting used to the environment. But now that he is used to it he is rasing up every time i come in the cage. I haven't hurt him or anything i just dont think it likes me.
Once this problem occurs can it be fixed? Will the iguana ever like me?
The bitting problem only occurs when i try to set him back in the cage, he turns around like he wants to kill me.
Are their other iguanas out there that arn't as agressive?
