Without knowing your setup or enclosure at all, my initial impression would be to move the humidifier externally since you are piping the mist in anyway. By moving the mist as high as possible you should get a more even humidity throughout the entire enclosure. Where is the water coming from ? The mist itself or from the unit?

The only other recommendation that I have would be to locate a humidistat and control the humidifier with that. That way you can set a humidity level so that the humidifier isn't running unnecessarily.

Sorry I can't offer more but without more info on your setup I'm just taking shots in the dark...;)
