sounds like normal mating season behavior and/or growing iglet behavior ... plus, the 2 of you haven't really known each other for very long and he's still learning to trust you and trying to figure out how to communicate with you and decide who's gonna be the 'boss' ... the trick is to learn to understand what your ig is trying to tell you ... and within reason, listen to him ... he tried to tell you he didn't want to take a bath! with iZ, it depends on what it is that we disagree about .... when i'm holding him (for whatever reason) tailwhipping will NOT get him his way (sometimes a painful statement of who's the boss around here ..) there's times when he just does NOT want to get in the tub, leave his room, whatever ... for the most part, i'll listen to him ... (unless i think he's going to blow up if he doesn't get in the tub + poop ... or if he HAS to take medicine ...)
he'll learn to tell you in a more appropriate way and it'll get easier to understand when he just needs coaxing or if he REALLY means it ... (open-mouthed hissing is usually the last ditch effort to make you stop before he bites)
if you know he's having a stretch of grouchy days, take ANY aggressive signs more seriously ... when iZ was REALLY PMSing, he stayed up in his room for 3 days ... as soon as i'd get close to him, he'd puff up, lean towards me, open his mouth and HISS ... so i'd bring his plate of food up to him, set it on the opposite side of his shelf and BACK out of the room (igs HAVE been known to take flying leaps when they're PO'd!!!) .... sometimes, an ig just wants to be left alone! that really shouldn't stay that intense for more than a few days tho ... and you should still talk to him and spend time in the same room as his enclosure, etc. so he remembers that he likes you!
make sure you clean the wound with antibiotic soap and some hydrogen peroxide .... betadine if you have it(you should)and put triple-antibiotic ointment on it ... is your tetnus shot current??? see a doc if a bite (or scratch even) is really deep or show any signs of infection ...
