iZ's mom is 100% correct in all that she advised. And speaking from my own experience, that hiss is your only warning before being bitten in most cases. Our male is like a green, scaly puppy dog. Our female is beyond moody sometimes. He loves for you to rub him & help loosen up the shed. She doesn't want you to even THINK about touching her when she's shedding. I agree with iZ's mom, too, in that if what you are trying to do is not necessary for their health & well-being and your ig is protesting it....then don't do it.
P.S. Never get a ticked off ig near your face....but I think you know that already! *grin* Hope you are healing up nicely.....my hands & arms have been Lightning's only targets. I can imagine how you must feel tho.
