Hi Jmaie!
Thanks for following up! My baby is I think about 9 months old now so I'm not sure of gender. She's about 5" SVL now. I started her in a glass 30 gallon long aquarium for like two months and about two weeks ago I moved her to a 48" tall reptarium (with the nylon mesh). I actually haven't seen her for about a week because my fiancee's mom is taking care of her until I go back to school but when I saw her last she didn't eat for two days after the move. She was also in the process of shedding and her body color was kind of dark green/brown. I gave her a couple of baths and her tummy got more green. The heat thing is actually a problem I've been wondering about. Her old cage was about 95 in the basking area and 80 in the "shade". I haven't put thermometers in the new cage yet because I'm having trouble figuring out how to heat the cage. I've been advised that this isn't the best permanent cage and I do plan to build one. but I can't do that now because I'm in a dorm until May and I won't be able to move a built one very easily. So, for the time being I'm going to try with this one. I've got the one heat lamp sitting on top of the cage with a platform about a foot underneath it and an under-tank heating pad on the bottom under the substrate. The only problem with that was that she never went to the bottom of the cage or sat on the platform in those first two days, she just kind of hung on the walls. So I guess the heat thing might be a problem - any suggestions for where I could put more heat sources would be helpful. Thanks again (sorry so long)!
