Pictures of Jubjub... (colors and swollen jaw?)

Well, here I am!

Any ideas about sex would be appreciated.
Do you think those are breeding colors that will fade as the seasons change?

Last night we were chilling on the couch. Jubjub was checking out my jacket, sniffing and licking all the lining and up into the sleeve. He then proceeded to take a nip of the collar. I touched his nose and said "Don't do that." Then a minute or two passed and he came over to sit on my lap, and proceeded to sniff and lick my arm, from my fingers up almost to my armpit (but it tickled and he pulled away when I laughed). As he was doing his investigation, I reached for the remote, and he bit my inner arm!

Sierra's friend holding me for size reference.
Do you see my missing toe?

It wasn't a bad bite, I mean 'cause he could really take a chunk out of me if he wanted to. I hardly even believed he bit me but a few minutes later a small red welt rose up, but it's gone today. It was like he was telling me to sit still and let him lick! Or maybe my movement startled him.

Anyway, I'm completely taken with him. I offered him some turtle salad last night, but he didn't seem too interested. It was a stressful day, though, so I am going to let him get acclimated and time to warm up before I fret over his eating habits.

What do you think? Is my jaw swollen?

~ Sierra (and Jubjub, newest addition to the 2 horses, 11 turtles, and 46 snakes)
