Godzilla and the christmas tree

Hiya, once again thanks for the advice...
I think I must have written it incorrectly he is about 4 to 5inches from his nose to his..how can i put this ...bum point!! (ie not including his tail) LOL I dont think he is a hatchling, but i do think he is still quite small.
I need to know if I am being a bad owner.....Godzilla immediately made a bee line for the christmas tree, fighting me all the way to get into it, WOW he just loves it in there, it is almost as if he gets excited when he sees it, so i let him in there and now he is sleeping in it at night...is this ok?

Also when I put him on the Yukka under the lamp he seems to lose interest and want to be away from the light. He is out on the patio climbing the screen in the direct sunlight all day, do you think this is enough sun?

HE POOPED!!! yes now we are getting somewhere....but still concerned as he is not drinking,

Sorry, PAW PAW... my south african terminology...this is papaya!!

Finally, salmonella....has anyone had it and what are the symptoms, i know I can look it up, but posting quickly as I think, we have a prob! hopefully not though
