Hi everyone!
I have a question about Fluker Farms' "Blue Diamond" iguanas. From everything i have heard, they do this simply by altering the diet. I have one small pet shop rescue named 'Zilla right now, and he is the brownest/grayest iguana I have seen at his age. The pet shop was feeding him crickets and had him only on a heat rock and an incandescent light. While his green has returned a lot since I have had him and have been feeding him correctly, I was wondering if there are certain vitamins or foods that bring out the color more than others. I got this idea from the Blue Diamond ads...
Now, let me stress that I love baby Zilla reguardless of his color, and I sort of like the brown/gray coloring since my past iquana was a deep green, and this is a cool change. Therefore, if the food which brings out the blue/green coloration is bad for him, let me know and I will have no problem with avoiding it like the plague. I also understand that a lot of it is genetics, so there may not be a lot to change, and I am cool with that. I just wanted to hear any suggestions or past experiences with this topic.
Thanks,
nate.
