You are using unfiltered UV light right? This will help the colors. Genetics as mentioned below is the biggest reason for the colors, although a sickly iguana will show different coloration than a healthy one of the same type. My males have always been more orange or brown. I have not seen these blue diamonds in adulthood so I don't know if they retain their colors.
In the past I have read that certain foods can enhance color tones. There was an odd squash (starts with a "K" I think) that I have never come across that supposedly accentuates the blues. This should be a safe addition to your ig's diet. I always wondered if the sweet potato I fed brought out more orange (but this shouldn't be fed in large quantities anyway).
