How about CHE's? They last for years and radiate only in the infared.

I have one of those oil-filled radiator-style floor standing heaters that max's at 1500 watts. One of those can help. They don't get scaldingly hot, and mine has an internal thermostat. Cost about $50, and was on sale for $35. It did the general heating in a 8 ft wide X 5 ft deep X 9 ft tall garage habitat. It got *cold* in the garage and took a lot of money to heat the enclosure ($125/month).

How cold will it be getting where you live? Do you have mesh or solid walls?
