Madagascar Iguana? (I really need HELP with it PLEASE!)

Is there such thing as one? I can't find info. on them. It will be given to me from my friend who doesn't want it and I thought I could give it a better home. It was sold to my friend as a Madagascar Iguana from Petco, but to me it looks nuthing like an iguana and more like a desert lizard. I will try to get pics but I don't think I can. It is maybe around 4 in. and has the body style of western fence lizards (blue bellies). It is greyish with a small pattern with black and white and possibly some yellow. It is very fast and doesn't care to be handled. Sorry I don't have a good description because I don't have it yet I will probably have it next week and wanted to get info. and a care sheet on them. Thanks if anyone can help me.
