Taking Squiggs to school

Hello!
I am teaching 1st grade and want to take Squiggs (iguana) to school for a lesson. She is about 3.5 feet long and I can't bring her cage in. Any suggestions on what I could safely carry her and keep her in at school so both she and the kids are safe? I really want to bring her in but can't think of what I could keep her in all day???
