Darwin, my recent addition to the animal family, is still quite thin. He is eating about 3 or 4 large soup-bowls of salad a day. I think this is about 6 to 8 cups of food. Is he eating a normal amount for his size? He is 4 feet long including his tail. I fill his bowl in the morning before I go to work, then as soon as I come home in the evening, and once or twice before bed. If it's empty, I fill it. Do you think he's getting enough and how long will it take for him to fatten up? I can see his ribs a bit and he doesn't have much padding on his tail-base. Are there any foods that I can give him to add extra calories? I am feeding him what's recommended by the Iguana den diet and the MK salad. I just haven't been able to get mustard greens, though. I try for lots of variety, and don't have to worry about stuff going bad, because my guinea pigs eat the extras. Thanks for any ideas and advice.
Piquette :)
