: He's not as healthy as he should be, but that poor little guy in the picture looks like he's never eaten! It's just the healthy iguanas I've seen have a nice padding of flesh over the tail and they look filled out. Darwin is sunken-in in the belly when he hasn't eaten in a bit, and you can easily feel and see the tail vetebrae. His colour has improved since I've had him, but it is still not quite right. (at least he is no longer brown-yellow; he is now brown-green) And he keeps his eyes closed too much. He fights and is really strong and feisty when he doesn't want to be handled(which is about 80% of the time), but I think he'll get better as time goes by.
: I'll just keep letting him eat what he wants, and hopefully he fattens up in a couple of months. I just wanted an idea of how much food I should be expecting to feed-I am going through greens, squash, veggies and fruit like crazy. Good thing I was able to raid the garden for a while. Thanks for the advice and the picture. At least I know he's not as bad off as he could be.
