The Neo bulbs may put out a negligible amount of UVA. I'm not exactly sure how much. But I do know that the Actives produce an average of 5x the B of fluo tubes as well as significant A output levels. Those numbers and research I HAVE seen. Your best bet would be to research the bulbs fully yourself and make an educated decision. Unlike Craig, who evidently does not care for the Actives, we've currently got 6 running here and that is only limited by enclosure design. If every enclosure could handle an Active we'd have one on every enclosure. We've simply seen those kinds of results from using the bulbs.
