I was about to build Hoss' enclosure the other day when I had a bright idea. I have this closet that I rarely use which is 7' high, 5 foot wide, and 5 feet deep. Now this closet has those sliding doors which roll on a track. I figured I could build a wood frame door similiar to that one and cover it with mesh and then put it back where the original door, and Whala I have a huge ig enclosure! It has a shelf about 6' off the floor that I figured to be the basking spot, and then I thought I'd buile 2-3 shelfs alternating the height as I went to the ground. I thought I would buy a discarded section of carpet from the carpet store to put overtop of my new carpet, and build rope ladders, and I'll still trying to figure out what to use to connect shelf to shelf...I want to avoid as much porous wood products as possible....I was also thinking that this would fit one of those fake 4-5 foot trees which would simulate a natural enviroment and would also fit a humidifier which I could place on low. The only questions I have are on heating this closet, where to put the food (top or bottom) and uvb lighting (is 1 bulb on the basking shelf sufficient or do I need more)....I think this is a great idea as Hoss and I both benefit...He has a huge enclosure, and this saves me big $$$$ that I don't have....Let me know what you think or your comments or whatever .....THANKS..GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!!!!
