:::I'm letting him free roam for a lot longer, he just might be a constant free roamer. Is it ok to do this?

My two iguanas are free-roamers all of the time. The only time they're in a cage is when they're outside basking in real sunshine. I wouldn't let them loose in the yard alone to bask, but as far as letting them roam free in the house it's fine as long as you've "iguana-proofed" the area. Now, that may be tough to do for a whole house, but you could ig-proof a room or two and let him have the run of that, as long as there are UVlights and a basking spot set up for him there. Igs need to be kept warm and have UV lighting for several hours a day. Letting them free roam without providing light/heat will harm them in the long run. But letting them run around a room that's warm enough, has high humidity, and has UV lights, well, they love it!
