Thank goodness this iguana found you! Your post makes me soooooooo sick! I would like to beat these people senseless! There is no room for people with so little respect for life.

Anyway, as mentioned to you, it would be best to get xrays, a fecal, and bloodwork. You are probably right... good possibility of impaction from bark.

Get the UV light and heat lamp on this poor thing immediately. Any sunlight would speed recovery too. Keep up with the fluids (pedilyte) and warm baths. Try to offer fresh veggies everyday too.

Good luck to you both and please keep us posted.

p.s. Give him a new name for his new life with you. He shouldn't have to keep anything from his previous owners.
