fungis infection??

my small Ig. seems to be in perfect health besides the fact that he has a small growth protruding from his upper lip on the left side. It almost appears to be protruding from under the scalles from inside his mouth. Is this dangerous? if so is their over the counter treatment? will I need to take him to the vet? and do all vets take care of iggys? I dont think its his diet, I watch what he eats and he's a little fattie. Is this serious? please help me,any responce would be helpfull,
My little Tasha would be very thankfull
