Protein: Where do I get it? Parsnips

I'm not positive about this, but it runs in my mind that parsnips (they look like a white/cream colored carrot and are in the produce section of most grocery stores) are a pretty good source of protein for igs. Mine eat them readily.

Anyone care to confirm or disagree with the adequate protein content of parsnips? I can't remember where I heard that they're a good source of protein, and I'd hate to steer Ivan wrong, so if you know anything about parsnips, please post.
