speaking of skin color... different question

i recently acquired a rescue ig. he'd been found "cat-caought" in someone's backyard. had lots of lesions, and a broken off tail and finger. he's healing well, except his color seems off to me. he's very pale, almost whitish. if someone were to ask me about this, i'd guess it was a vitamin deficiency. but he is a great eater, and he has a great diet of mustard greens, collard greens, dandelion greens, cilantro, occasional fruits like raspberry or papaya, occasional sweet potato, with every other day vitamin w/calcium sprinkles. he also has been getting outside everyday the last few weeks because i live in south california and it's been 80!
any ideas?
