In Reply to: Yet another ActiveUV Heat bulb question... posted by j on July 27, 2001 at 18:36:59:
: I am confused about this bulb and the difference between the flood light and the spot light. And does this replace the light set up one already has? I mean, do I get rid of my Zoo med 5.0 UV light, or keep it along with this activeUV heat bulb? I am confused. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks.
i tried out this new activUV bulb and was not very impressed, i paid $50 and the bulb burned out in 4 months, i would stick w/ the zoo med 5.0 and a heat bulb that provides UVA, the UVA will better the health of your iggy cause reptiles see in the UVA light spectrum. and the 5.0 puts out sufficent UVB. so your iggys getting D3 plus UVA that will better his life.
