Thanks for your responses.
I have been to the Rainforest reptile refuge- sadly it is the only well known place to take them. Hundreds (it seems) of ig's crammed into a cage, fighting, EATING CATFOOD!!!!! it just sucks there.
I have also been putting it in the Canadian forum for months with no serious inquiries.
Looking for a knolegable home, seems hard to find.
I've tried the tropical plant observatory, the Vancouver aquarium, and zoo. Places he could have the FREEDOM he deserves. He hates being in a cage.
I will look up the Island shelter, I haven't heard of them yet.
Thanks, and if there are any other ideas (or takers....) let me know.
: Whatever you do, DO NOT take it to the Rainforest Reptile Refuge Society in Surrey. While they started out with noble goals, they are along the PETA lines that NO ONE should own ANY wild animal, no matter what.
: Have also heard several reports of neglect and abuse at their hands of reptiles. They simply do not have the knowledge or funding to properly care for all that they have, and imho, donating your ig to them would be a death sentence for it.
: Post on the Canada forums, and I am sure that one of the several BC residents there can help you out.
