I have a friend who *maybe* could transport to Vancouver on the odd occasion. It is a problem here too - the SPCA usually just euthanize them. They do call the pet stores first, (in our smallish area the stores would know of available homes), but there is almost never a place for them except up in Campbell River.
What an incredible undertaking! My hat's off to you - I know how tough it was for you a couple of years ago, and now this!!!!!!
