: I have two igs of roughly the same age they get a proper diet, but on one of the igs the last three inches of his /her tail has lumps just under the skin they don't look infected and do not seem to cause pain when touched.Anyone have any idea what this might be? As a side note he/she does whip with the tail quite alot are they old injuries?
hi my iguana just had the same thing and the vet amputated the bad part of the tail its part of tail rot / dry gangereen . they nip the tail and stitch it up so it heals also give him baytril to prevent infection it cost me 300 hundred dollars this week with a follow up visit in 2 weeks good luck mike nj.
