My strange lizard

: Lately my ig will only eat if I hand feed him. The strange thing is that he will not have anything to do with me normally. He still fights me when I pet him or hold him. I have been feeding him twice a day and wait tell about 6:00pm before I will hand feed him to see if he will eat on his own. He will not eat but once I start hand feeding him he eats it faster than I can get it to his mouth. I know he is really smart and wondering what kind of game he is playing with my head. My problem is that I plan to be out of town for about 5 days and my sitter will not hand feed him. How can I brake him of this habit. Should I leave his food and wait for him to do it on his own. He been doing this for the last three weeks. I don't mind hand feeding him but it makes it even harder to take care of him.
