Hi!!
I am kinda new at having a pet iguana...but I have found that after spending time with her every day, talking, touching, holding her...she doesn't try to get away from me anymore...You just have to get her and let her know that you are the dominant one, but that you will not hurt her. She will still try to get away...and probably scratch & fight...but it won't last long if you keep working with her...(Or him) My iguana would not eat when I was around at first, but now she has settled down & will eat usually as soon as I put down her food. I have only had her (Cleo) for about a month now..but we are making progress!! I think she actually likes having me around!! I hope this helps!! I don't know about the spots...but I do know that this is the place to come if you need help or advice on iguanas!!
Good luck!!
Lorry ( & Cleo)
