In your post, you mention feeding mealworms occasionally, but no animal protein. In fact, mealworms ARE animal protein, there being no difference between insects and any other animal when it comes to a protien source. I agree that no animal protein should be fed, and this would include the mealworms. Bottom line: iguanas don't need it to thrive, and feeding it in any quanity can cause kidney problems. Feed your igs a proper, high quality vegetarian diet, and they'll do fine. This is my opinion, of course. Refer to the links already supplied on good diets...
