New mommy :-)

Hello... I've just become a new mommy to a three year old green Iguana. I've never owned an Iguana before, and I want to make sure he gets the best of care. We've set up the wooden/glass cage he came with in the back bedroom where it's much warmer. I've looked up diets, and it seems the best diets were the Lizard den diet and the MK salad, so that's what I'm following. I've found places that state that heat rocks can sometimes burn an Iguana, so I was worried about his digestion. Well, I think we've got that solved now, because he (I think we've settled on Merlin as a name :-)) climbed up behind the computers and is now resting on top of the monitor where it gets quite warm. I was also worried about the lights that came with the setup... I have no idea whether or not either of them give off the UVB light that he needs... I have a spray bottle that I'm using as a mister, but I don't know if that will be enough moisture for Merlin... It's not very humid back here. Well, that's about the whole of our situation... we've only had Merlin for one day, and I would really appreciate any input you can give. :-) Thanks in advance... Astral.
