I built mine for around $300 actually....it's 6x5x4, basically all half inch wood paneling (no plexiglass walls, my ig rubs his nose bloody),with big plexi windows and ventalation grills. Inside there are various ramps and basking resting areas.
I think this is quite a suitable size, considering he's only 20 inches right now.
I bought all the stuff at the home depot, water-proof wallpapery stuff to keep in humidity (it's at 65% right now), spot lamps, plants, even an 18" floresent light fixure for $10!
It all depends on your location and where you shop, I know some places have outrageious prices.
And since I know he'll undoubtedly need a bigger one in the future, I decided to start saving up now!
