...since you can get them in various strength ( 100-275 watts in flood and 100-160 in spot ), they should be able to be used in smaller cages?! However, that is not a problem for me, since I have huge exhibits ( one of them is app. 15 X 21 feet and 15 feet high and the other maybe 15 x 12 feet and 15 feet high ).
The good thing as I see it is that they produce heat so that the animals automatically will stay in front of them.
In the broschure thay have measured ( spelling, sorry ) the output at 1, 2, 3 and 4 feet distance and how much microWatts / cm2 they produce. looking at that, this should be no problem for the animals!? I'm not sure, that's why I ask for the forum's opinion!
